Punjab Cong commemorates foundation day

Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) commemorated the 129th foundation say of Indian National Congress and paid tributes to founders of the party here today.

PPCC president Partap Singh Bajwa congratulated the party men for their dedication towards the Congress party.

PPCC Secretary Gurpartap Singh Mann and Punjab Congress Sewa Dal Chief Organiser Rajinder Rasrania unfurled the party flag, a party spokesman said here.

Speaking on the occasion, they recalled the sacrifices made by Congress party in nation building and said Congress was flag-bearer of freedom struggle of India.

They said the Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi had given new direction to the party to meet the global challenges.
