Punjab Cong demands probe into BJP office land deal

Senior Congress leader Kamal Sachdev told reporters here that the land granted for the party office was paid for in four instalments in 1980 and that the matter was in court and BJP had violated court orders.

BJP leader Subhash Sood had yesterday alleged that Congress had illegally grabbed land for its office and so the structure must be demolished by the Improvement Trust.

Sachdev said that if his party had broken the law then first a notice must be served to it which the party will challenge legally as the matter is being raised after 36 years.
