Punjab Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki today hailed the role of state police in tackling the terror attack at Dinanagar town in Gurdaspur district.
Describing the terror attack that claimed seven lives, including a police official, as a "dastardly act", the Governor appealed to the people in the state to be vigilant and maintain peace and harmony.
The Governor also expressed his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved families on their irreparable loss and promised government's support.
In a major terror attack, three fidayeen, believed to have come from Pakistan, today attacked passengers in a moving bus and stormed a police station, killing seven persons, including an SP, while all the terrorists were gunned down after a day-long operation.
