Punjab govt declares holiday tomorrow

The Punjab government today declared November 16 as a holiday to commemorate the 101st martyrdom day of Kartar Singh Sarabha.

Sarabha was the most famous accused in the Lahore conspiracy trials and was hanged on November 16, 1915 in Lahore for his role in it in February that year.

All offices, boards, corporations, educational institutions and other public undertakings of the government would remain closed on November 16, an official spokesperson said here.
