Punjab government has decided to fill the three per cent backlog in the quota for physically challenged through direct recruitment and promotions.
Directions in this regard have been issued to all the departments to clear the backlog at the earliest and send a report to the government, an official spokesman said here.
Written directions were issued by the Social Security Department wherein all departments have been asked to strictly comply with the orders, he said.
