Punjab transfers 10 police officers

The Punjab government in a major reshuffle today transferred 10 police officers - six IPS and four of the Punjab Police Service (PPS).

An official spokesman said that the transferred include six Senior Superintendents of Police (SSP) of as many police districts of Ferozepur, Patiala, Bathinda, SAS Nagar, Khanna and Fatehgarh Sahib.

Director General of Police (DGP) HRD and Director, Punjab Police Academy (PPA) Phillaur S K Sharma IPS has been posted as DGP Punjab Home Guards with an additional charge of DGP, HRD and Director PPA Phillaur.

DGP Punjab Home Guards G D Pandey IPS has been posted as DGP Powercom, Punjab.
 

Inspector General of Police (IGP) PAP Lok Nath has been posted as IGP Zonal-2, Punjab, Jalandhar against the vacant.

SSP Patiala Hardial Singh Mann IPS has been transferred as SSP Ferozepur in place of Sukhwant Singh Gill PPS, who has been posted as Commandant 4th Commando Battalion Mohali.

SSP Fatehgarh Sahib Gurmeet Singh Chauhan PPS would be SSP Patiala and Gurmeet Singh Randhawa PPS would be the new SSP of Fatehgarh Sahib.

SSP SAS Nagar Inder Mohan Singh Bhatti PPS would the new SSP of Bathinda, whereas SSP Bathinda Gurpreet Singh Bhullar IPS would be the new SSP of SAS Nagar.

Commandant 4th Commando Battalion Mohali Gurpreet Singh Gill IPS would be new SSP of Khanna.
