Rahul visits Kamakhya temple

Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi today offered prayers at Shakti Peeth Kamakhya Temple on the Nilachal Hill here.

Rahul went inside the sanctum sanctorum of the temple and offered flowers at the fissure in the rock below ground level, the temple trust's secretary Naba Sarma told PTI.

Rahul spent about ten minutes inside.

He was accompanied by Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, APCC president Bhubaneswar Kalita and party leaders.
