The Odisha Vigilance Department today conducted raids on properties of a divisional forest officer and found a little over Rs crore in his possession.
Based on allegation of acquisition of assets disproportionate to known sources of income by Chittaranjan Mishra, DFO, City Forest Division, Bhubaneswar, the vigilance sleuths raided four places.
The raids were conducted at Mishra's three-storied residential building at Radhakrushna Nagar, Old Town, Bhubaneswar, one-storey building at village Kanpur in Cuttack district, his father-in-law's house at Patapur in Puri district and his office room at City Forest Division, an official of the department said.
During the search operation, movable and immovable assets worth Rs 1.1 crore were detected and investigation was in progress, the official said.
