Rain forces Indian Oil, SCR to share trophy

Indian Oil and South Central Railway today shared the trophy and Rs three lakh after heavy rains forced the cancellation of the final of the 13th PMC Bank Guru Tegh Bahadur Hockey tournament today.
The rains rendered the artificial turf at the Mahindra Stadium unfit for play and organisers, Mumbai Hockey Association Limited, had to abandon the match before it could commence.
Indian Oil, Mumbai, had outclassed Punjab Police, Jalandhar, 4-1 while South Central Railway, Secunderabad, got the better of Army XI, Bengaluru, 3-2 in the semi finals.
