Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today said a financial assistance of Rs five lakh would be given to the kin of those killed in rain-related incidents.
With rains lashing Telangana in the last couple of days, Rao held a review meeting with ministers and officials to take stock of the situation and asked the administration to furnish reports on the number of dead, the extent of crop damages and loss of property among others, a release from his office said.
He directed the officials to provide relief soon after receiving the reports.
The Chief Minister stressed on extending timely relief with a humane attitude to the victims of the rain-related incidents, it added.
