Light to moderate rains occurred at few places in Punjab and Haryana today, even though minimum temperatures stayed above normal levels in the two states.
Also, dense fog, which had paralysed normal life in the two states during the past few days, lifted from many places today, though it continued at some places, including Hisar, Ludhiana, Narnaul and Bhiwani, a MeT official said.
Chandigarh received 9.9 mm rainfall, Ludhiana got 14.1 mm, Patiala 1.5 mm, Mohali 8 mm, Amritsar 2.4 mm, Phagwara 12 mm, Ambala 1.4 mm and Panchkula 14 mm, among other places, the official said.

Meanwhile, the minimum temperatures hovered a couple of notches above normal levels in the region.
Chandigarh recorded a low of 7.9 degrees Celsius while neighbouring town of Ambala registered a low of 10.2 deg C.
Hisar also recorded a low of 10.2 deg C while respective minimums at Bhiwani and Narnaul settled at 11.2 deg C and 9.5 deg C, respectively.
In Punjab, Patiala recorded a low of 10.3 deg C. Ludhiana's low settled at 9.6 deg C while Amritsar's minimum was 9.6 deg C.
