Rains lash Palghar; constable killed in lightning strike

Unseasonal rains have disrupted the life in the remote areas of Palghar district for the last two days.

Jagannath R Padekar (38), a police constable, died after his house in Dhond Pada in Jawhar tehsil was struck by lightning at about 4.30 pm.

Heavy rainfall was reported from various parts of the district.
