A six-month-old girl was killed and her family members suffered severe injuries after their car rammed into a truck in Rajasthan's Baran district Monday, police said.
The accident took place on the National Highway-27 bypass.
The car crashed into the truck from behind after it suddenly slowed down. The girl died on the spot, Station House Officer (SHO), Baran, Devesh Bhardwaj, said.
Police have lodged a case of negligence against the truck's driver who fled with his vehicle after the accident, he said.
The injured people were identified as Ramswroop Mahajan (70) and his wife Nathibai; Gunjan Goyal and Madhurima, the police officer said.
They were referred to the Maharao Bhim Singh hospital here after being administered first aid at the Baran District Government Hospital, the SHO said.
