Rajasthan government has notified the services of energy department and power companies under essential services till May 31, 2016.
The notification was issued under the Rajasthan Essential Services Maintenance Act (RESMA)-1970.
The notification prohibits strike in the energy department, Rajasthan Rajya Vidhyut Utpadan Nigam, Rajasthan Rajya Vidhyut Prasaran Nigam, Jaipur, Ajmer and Jodhpur discoms and sub-stations, grid sub stations, generating stations, dispatch load centre, transmission centre and their offices and services, a statement said.
