BJP President Rajnath Singh today sought constitution of second States Reorganisation Committee to consider demands being made by various groups from across the country for separate states.

"The Centre should constitute the Second States Reorganisation Commission to consider demands for separate states in the country," Singh tweeted.

He also welcomed the creation of Telangana as a separate state saying that BJP was always been in its favour.

Earlier, party vice-president Uma Bharti had pitched for constituting a States Reorganisation Commission to look into similar demands for new states and give top priority to carving out Bundelkhand from Uttar Pradesh.

A States Reorganisation Commission should be formed at the earliest and the demand for a separate Bundelkhand should be the first on its list, she told reporters here.
