"It is surprising that the Union minister is more concerned about Bangladesh than the state's interest. Bangladesh is our neighbouring country, but the union minister is advocating giving it Teesta water sacrificing West Bengal's interests," Urban Development minister Firhad Hakim told reporters at Writers' Buildings.
"Let him learn about the country, the state, and then think of the world," he said.
The minister also alleged that the Centre was safeguarding the interests of the US.
