Randy Quaid to return for 'Independence Day' sequel?

Actor Randy Quaid will reportedly return for sequel to the hit 1996 film 'Independence Day'.

Director Roland Emmerich dropped a hint about Quaid's return to the follow-up of the movie on Twitter, reported Aceshowbiz.

He shared a photo of the actor and wrote, "Hello, boys! I'm back! #IndependenceDay."

The actor played Russell Casse in the Will Smith-starring movie and his character seemingly met his demise after crashing his plane into the aliens' ship.

'Independence Day 2' was originally set to be released in 2015, but it is now eyeing a June 24, 2016 release date.
