Rape accused, absconding for over a year, arrested in J-K's Ramban

A man accused of abduction and rape, who have been absconding for over a year has been arrested in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district, police said on Saturday.

Nizam Din was on run after he was named in a case registered last year under various sections of the Ranbir Penal Code including sections 376 (rape) and 363 (kidnapping), a police spokesperson said.

He said the accused was arrested from Gool area on Friday evening.
