A rape accused, who was on the run for the last seven months, has been arrested from Surat in Gujarat by a police team from Odisha's Ganjam district, police said today.
Pramod Sahu (32) of Gangadeuni in Purushottampur area who was nabbed in Gujarat three days ago for the offence allegedly committed in November last year, was brought here yesterday, the police said.
Sahu, a father of two children, had allegedy raped a 32-year-old woman near a cashew processing factory at Nabarangpur under the jurisdiction of Gopalpur police station on November 28 last year, Inspector In-Charge of Gopalpur police station, Sushant Sahu, said.
