Rape incident: Politician, locals demand cops' transfer

Protesting the recent rape incident in Khajuwala area here, BJP MLA Vishwanath along with some locals today staged a dharna demanding transfer of local police station staff and compensation to the victim.

Market in the town was also shut today to protest the incident in which a class 10 student was raped by her school bus driver on April 26. The driver has been arrested.

District SP Rakesh Saxena met the protesters and assured them of conducting proper investigation in the case.
