One of the two minor girls, who was allegedly raped by a 23-year-old man in a hostel run by a church at nearby Pollachi nearly three months ago, today deposed before a sessions court here today.

The nine-year-old girl deposed before M P Subramanian, the sessions judge of Mahila Court, for some 25 minutes.

The victim told the court that she was sexually assaulted thrice on the night by the accused Veerasamy, after she was abducted and taken to the terrace of a building on the hostel premises, on June 11.

Giving account of the incident last week, the other victim, a 11-year-old girl, had said she was raped on two separate nights of June 9 and 11, along with the other girl.

The headmaster of the TELC Elementary School and manager of the hostel, from where the girls were abducted, also deposed today.

The judge Subramanian posted the case for September 10, when the church watchman and one of the key witnesses was expected to testify.

The accused was later taken back to the Central Prison here.
