Rape victim makes police complaint against restaurant

The victim of the Park Street car-rape incident today lodged a police complaint against authorities of a restaurant in the city alleging that they denied her entry on the ground that she was a rape victim, police said.

The incident came to light last night after the woman wrote on a social networking site accusing the manager of a restaurant in the city of denying her entry.

"We have received the complaint and started an investigation," Officer in-charge of Kalighat police station Mahadeb Chakraborty said.
