Ray Winstone credits wife for helping him relax

English actor Ray Winstone has revealed that in order to have a happy married life he tries to keep his personal life separate from his work.

The 'Noah' star, who is mostly known for his tough guy roles, credits his wife Elaine for helping him to relax after filming, reported Contactmusic.

The 57-year-old actor first met Elaine in 1979, while filming the drama 'That Summer'.

Winstone said that he laughs a lot and tries to relax after filming to get out of character.

"Every job is a different job and I think I approach it in a different way. I don't take it home with me because the characters I play, I wouldn't be married very long if I did. What I like to do is laugh, if I'm playing a bit I like to laugh a lot and take it right down there," he said.
 

The actor said that he had no problem growing a beard for his recent movie 'Noah' since he likes to sport a more dishevelled look when he has time off.

Although he was relieved to finally shave it off later.

"When I'm not working I grow a beard anyway. The only false bits on it were the two prongs. I had that for about four months. I felt like an old rock," he added.
