The Reserve Bank of India today fixed the reference rate of rupee at 63.9315 against the US dollar and 70.0497 for the euro as against 63.9623 and 70.1602 respectively, yesterday.
According to a RBI statement, the exchange rates for the pound and the yen against the rupee were quoted at 99.8226 and 51.59 per 100 yen, respectively, based on reference rates for the dollar and cross-currency quotes at noon.
The SDR-rupee rate will be based on this rate, the statement added.
