State-run Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers (RCF) today reported manifold increase in net profit to Rs 83.95 crore for the first quarter ended on June 30, on account of higher income.
In the same quarter last fiscal, the company had clocked a net profit of Rs 4.48 crore.
Total income from operations during April-June quarter of the current fiscal rose to Rs 1,504.62 crore from Rs 1,438.28 crore in the same quarter last fisal, the company said in a BSE filing.

Profits of the company were also up as expenses declined to Rs 1,357.22 crore from Rs 1,407.41 crore in the period under review.
Shares of the company today closed at Rs 49.15 apiece on BSE today.
