Rebel BJP leader writes to MLAs, apparently targeting CM

Rebel BJP leader Ghanshyam Tiwari today sent an open letter to all party MLAs of Rajasthan asking them not to entertain "any specific individual", an apparent reference to Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.

Tiwari, an MLA, termed the recent suspension of legislators Hanuman Beniwal and Manoj Nyangli from the assembly as "an attempt to end democratic and parliamentary traditions".

Beniwal and Nyangli were suspended during last month's assembly session on the ground of indiscipline.

Tiwari urged all the MLAs to "stand up to save the values and traditions of the democracy and be united for getting the suspension of the MLAs revoked."

Tiwari has been targeting Raje ever since she became the chief minister.

Tiwari, despite being a senior party leader, was not given a ministerial berth.

Earlier this month, he was served a show cause notice by the party for "anti-party activities".

In his two strongly-worded replies, Tiwari had attacked Raje, calling her "queen of indiscipline", and questioned the central leadership for not taking action against her.
