Refined soya oil prices edged higher by 0.07 per cent to Rs 759.65 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators enlarged positions taking positive cues from spot market on upsurge in demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in August inched up by 50 paise, or 0.07 per cent, to Rs 759.65 per 10 kg with an open interest of 28,040 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in July was trading higher by 35 paise, or 0.05 per cent, to Rs 755.10 per 10 kg in 38,140 lots.

Analysts said expanding of positions by traders due to pick-up in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing belts, mainly attributed the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
