Refined soya oil futures gain 0.33% on positive spot cues

Press Trust of India  |  New Delhi

Refined soya prices rose 0.33 per cent to Rs 728.50 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions amid pick-up in demand at the domestic spot market.

Besides, tight stocks position on fall in supplies from producing regions fuelled the uptrend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, refined soya for January went up by Rs 2.40, or 0.33 per cent to Rs 728.50 per 10 kg with an open interest of 38,850 lots.

On similar lines, the for delivery in December edged up by 90 paise, or 0.13 per cent to Rs 716.05 per 10 kg in 9,980 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions built up by traders after uptick in demand in the physical market against restricted arrivals from producing belts, mainly led to the rise in refined oil prices at futures trade.
