Register cases against those involved in recruitment scam

The Court also directed the East Khasi Hills district police chief M Kharkrang to file a compliance report before November 30.
First Class Judicial Magistrate I Rymbui hearing a petition by anti-graft activists directed the police to "register" the case against those involved in the tampering or marks of the interview for the post of Assistant LP School teachers.
Considering the judgement of the Supreme Court in 2009, Rymbui also directed the police officers of Laitumkhrah PS (in which the FIR was lodged) to register the FIR and to monitor the investigation.
Anti-graft activists in Meghalaya had on November 7 sought police action against the state Ministers and legislators named by the CBI in a job scam that rocked Meghalaya earlier this month.
The CBI had named five cabinet ministers, the Assembly Speaker and six legislators in the Congress-led coalition government besides other politicians for tampering with the score-sheets of the candidates applying for the post of assistant teachers in 2010.
