The trough of low at mean sea level over Comorin- Lakshadweep area now lies over Lakshadweep and neighbourhood. The other trough of low at mean sea level over southwest Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood persists. The trough in mid and upper tropospheric westerlies has moved away eastnortheastwards. Cold wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Madhya Pradesh. Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of east Rajasthan; remaining parts of east Madhya Pradesh and were below normal in some parts of Jharkhand, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch, Konkan and Goa and of Chattisgarh and in remaining parts of west Madhya Pradesh. They were markedly above normal in some parts of Nagaland,Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura; appreciably to markedly above normal in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya, Madhya Maharashtra; appreciably above normal in some parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Punjab, Marathwada and in remaining parts of Madhya Maharashtra and were above normal in some parts of Tamil Nadu and of south interior Karnataka and in remaining parts of Assam and Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan west Bengal, Sikkim and of Chattisgarh. They were normal over the rest of the country. The lowest minimum temperature of 3.6 C has been recorded at Amritsar (Punjab) in the plains of the country.
