In Karimnagar district, crops like paddy, maize as well as mango were hit to a large extent, officials said, adding that the assessment of the damage was being carried out. Heavy rains crippled normal life in Karimnagar and rain water entered into number of houses located on the outskirts of the town, sources said. Guntur town also experienced heavy showers through the day and commuting became difficult due to knee-deep water logged at many places.
