The trough in the mid and upper tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 km a.S.L. Now extends between Long 90 degree East and Long 85 degree East to the north of Lat 25 degree. Systems would move east northeastwards. A cyclonic circulation extending up to 1.5 km a.S.L. Lies over Assam and Meghalaya and neighbourhood. The trough of low at mean sea level over southeast Bay of Bengal off Sri Lanka coast now lies over Comorin-Lakshadweep area. The other trough of low at mean sea level over southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Andaman sea now lies over southwest Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood. The western disturbance as an upper air cyclonic circulation over eastern parts of Jammu and Kashmir moved away northeastwards yesterday evening.(MORE)
