(Rpting with additional quotes) On the question of the Congress Vice-President's statement in Tripura, Chacko said neither Sonia nor Rahul Gandhi ever had denied the role played by Left parties. "We may differ on issues with Left parties but it is a fact that we were together in UPA-I. It wasn't that we didn't want them, but they decided to leave the UPA. .... There are honest differences between Left and Congress on certain issues," he said. Chacko said at the same time the Left should realise that in India, there are many issues on which it can join Congress to form a common front. "If they realise that they can't go with BJP but on many issues can go with Congress. Then they should tune their behaviour according to that and they should know how to do it," he added.
