A case has been registered against the son of a Samajwadi Party MLA for allegedly making casteist remarks against a woman block head's husband rpt block head's husband, police said today.

An FIR was registered yesterday against Vijay Pratap alias Chhotu, son of Sirsaganj MLA, Hariom Yadav for making casteist remarks against block head Naraini Devi's husband Gaya Prasad Somesh and threatening him of dire consquences, Sub Inspector Rajkumar Gautam said.

Somesh lodged a complaint at Nagla Khankar police station, police said, adding, the investigations are underway.
