Retrospective on Prosenjit Chaterjee's films

The fans in the capital are all set for a cinematic treat with a retrospective on Bengali superstar Prosenjit Chaterjee's films.

India Habitat Centre's Film Club is hosting the compilation of 52-year-old's critical as well as commercially successful work, defining his journey from zero to winning the National Award.

The festival, scheduled to take place from September 7 to 29, will open with Rituparno Ghosh's "Dosar," for which Prosenjit earned a National Award.

His last Bollywood outing "Shanghai" directed by Dibakar Banerjee will also be shown on September 19.

Goutam Ghose's "Moner Manush," starring Prosenjit, Shahed Ali, Raisul Islam Asad, Mir Naofil, will close the retrospective.
 

Son of yesteryear actor Biswajit, Prosenjit is now co-producing "Shankhochil" (The Kite), being directed by Goutam Ghose.
