Passengers of Maitree Express, the only international train service connecting Dhaka with Kolkata will now be able to book return tickets two days before the journey date.
The service will start from May 16, bdnews24.Com quoted the Indian High Commission as saying.
Indian and Bangladesh railways authorities have decided to issue return tickets to passengers in Bangladesh, who can book return tickets for all classes from Kolkata to Dhaka from the ticket counters on both the sides, the report said.

The booking period will be from 30 to 2 days prior to the date of journey, it added.
The rail service between the two nations was inaugurated in April, 2008 on the occasion of the Bengali New Year.
