Revenue clerk arrested for taking graft

Acting on a complaint, the vigilance team laid a trap and caught the clerk red-handed while he was accepting the graft from the complainant Ranjeet Kumar at a hotel, additional Director General of Police (ADG), Vigilance, P K Thakur said.

The revenue clerk, posted at Daudnagar circle office, had demanded graft for issuing receipt for purchase of land, he said.

The accused was being brought to Patna for questioning before production before a special court, Thakur said.
