"Apart from making assurances, the government has done nothing to solve our long pending demanding, forcing us to hold a state-wide work boycott," V D Vashistha, president of Rajasthan Patwar Sangh said.
"The government has completely ignored us. Our salary has not increased in comparison with other personnel of the equal rank," he said.
The strike would continue if the demands were not met by the government, he said.
