Rhino carcass found, horn missing

A rhino carcass with its horn missing was found inside Chilapata forest near Jaldapara National Park in Alipurduar district today, forest department officials said.

The carcass, the officials said, had marks of bullet injury and its horn was missing.

Suspected poachers killed the rhino but it could not be ascertained immediately when the killing took place, the officials said.
