Ricki Lake files for divorce from Christian Evans

Emmy award-wining TV host Ricki Lake has filed for divorce from jewellery designer husband Christian Evans after two years of marriage.

Lake, 46, filed for divorce on October 16, according to the court documents obtained, reported E! Online.

Lake and Evans tied the knot in a small ceremony on April 8, 2012, after about a year of dating.

She put October 9 as their date of separation and cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the breakdown of their marriage after two years and six months.

Lake and Evans had no children together. She is the mother of two sons with ex-husband Rob Sussman.
