Normal life was affected today as RLD workers, demanding re-functioning of sugar mills and clearance of farmers' dues, blocked traffic on various key routs here, including the national highway.
Protesters blocked the Delhi-Dehradun national highway at Purkazi, Mansoorpur and Khastolin, Delhi-Pauri highway at Ramraj and Khatima-Panipat highway at Meeranpur barrage, leading to Long traffic jams at many places.
RLD had declared to hold traffic blockades in the sugarcane-producing districts of the state to press for their demands.
