Police today claimed to have busted an inter-state gang of robbers with arrest of four persons and recovery of 11 stolen motorcycles from them.
Acting on a tip-off, the four robbers were arrested from their hideout at Khalwara Bhullarai chowk when they were making preparation to commit dacoity in this area, DSP Manpreet Singh Dhillon said.
The gang used to steal motorcycles too and 11 bikes lifted by them were recovered from various places, he said.

Those arrested were identified as Tejinder Kumar alias Nanu, Vivek Behal alias Saiki, Akashdeep alias Golu and Kashish, he said, adding that while Golu is a resident of Nawanshahr district and rest three hail from this district.
Another member of the gang Vijay Kumar managed to escape, he said.
Three sharp-edged weapons and one blunt weapon were seized from them, Dhillon said.
The arrest were made under sections 399(making preparation to commit dacoity) and 402(assembling for purpose of committing dacoity) of the IPC, the DSP said.
The absconding robber will be arrested soon, Dhillon said.
