Robert Redford features in gripping 'Truth' trailer

Hollywood veteran Robert Redford dramatises the fall of former CBS newsman Dan Rather in the latest teaser for "Truth".

The gripping docu-drama explains the fallout of CBS News airing explosive allegations about George W Bush's military record in the run-up to the 2004 election, reported Deadline.

Questions about the authenticity of CBS's allegations would later bring an end to Rather's 24-year run as anchor of the CBS Evening News.

The film is based on the memoir of Rather's long-time producer Mary Mapes, who is played in "Truth" by Oscar winner Cate Blanchett.

"White House Down" and "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" writer James Vanderbilt both wrote and directed "Truth".
