RPI objects to condom commercial featuring Sunny Leone

The women's wing of Republican Party of India (Athawale faction) has objected to a condom advertisement (tv commercial) featuring the actress Sunny Leone for its "obscene expressions".

Sheela Gangurde, national secretary of RPI's women's wing, said in a statement here that she had taken up the issue with the Union I&B Ministry.

"Expressions of the actor in this advertisement are obscene and against the Indian culture," she said.

If the government didn't act, RPI will approach the State Women's Commission, she said.
