Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today condoled the death of four persons who were asphyxiated to death here yesterday and announced an ex-gratia of a sum of Rs four lakh.
Jayalalithaa expressed grief over the death of Kumar, Saravanan, Murugan and Rajesh, who were died while clearing a sewage tank of a hotel at Thoraipakkam here.
In a statement, she expressed her sympathies with the families of the deceased and announced a sum of Rs one lakh to each of them as relief.
She also announced Rs 50,000 to one person who was rescued and undergoing medical treatment.
