The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) today seized 50kg of hashish worth Rs 2 crore from a truck in adjoining Thane district and arrested three persons, an official said.
NCB sleuths intercepted a truck bearing Jammu and Kashmir registration number near the Mumbra toll naka. After a detailed inspection, they recovered around 50kg of the contraband worth Rs 2 crore concealed under a false cavity of the truck, he said.
Three persons travelling in the truck were arrested. They were identified as Kurshid Ahmed (the truck driver), Peter Fernandez and Mohammed Asif.

In a separate incident, NCB sleuths found 281 bottles of Corex cough syrup and 10gm of mephedrone, collectively valued at Rs 5.4 lakh, after raiding a house in Dongri, the official said.
One Saqlin Qureshi was arrested in connection with the seizure, he added.
