Rs 2 crore worth red sanders seized

A lorry load of red sanders worth Rs 2 crore was seized at a village, 100 km from here by Special Task Force personnel today.

Official sources told PTI that the task force conducted a pre-dawn raid at the Cherukuvaari Palli village situated close to dense forest and seized the sanders-laden lorry when it was about to proceed to Bangalore.

Five persons, including two allegedly belonging to YSR Congress Party, were taken into custody for questioning, they said.
