Rs 22.5 lakh chemical substance seized at airport

Ten kg of a banned chemical substance, worth Rs 25.5 lakh, were seized by customs officials at the airport here today.

However the officials declined to specify what it was.

They said the banned chemical substance was smuggled from Sri Lanka by one Muzzafar Gani, who hails from Chennai.

Further investigation is on, they said.
