Police today seized Rs 35 lakh in cash from a man employed in a firm owned by a relative of YSR Congress candidate from Kadapa Lok Sabha seat.
The cash was seized from Pavan Kumar, a native of Hanumanagutti village, near Proddatur town this evening when he was travelling in a state transport bus, police said.
Kumar works as a supervisor in Veerabhadra Granite, owned by Pratap Reddy, a relative of Y S Avinash Reddy, the YSR Congress nominee from Kadapa parliamentary constituency, they said.

Avinash Reddy is a cousin of YSR Congress President and sitting Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
Kumar was travelling from Chemakurthi in Ongole district to Proddatur when the bus was stopped at a police check post.
A search brought out that Kumar was carrying Rs 35 lakh, said Proddatur (Urban) Police Inspector Satyanarayana, who supervised the operation.
A case has been registered, he said.
The source of the cash could not be ascertained and police suspect it may be linked to the upcoming elections in Andhra Pradesh.
