One person has been arrested for allegedly possessing Rs five crore worth of party drug ketamine, police said here today.
Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a search at the residence of M Siddique Sait at nearby Sayakudi and unearthed five packets each containing one kg of ketamine, police said adding its worth was Rs five crore in international market.
Siddique was arrested and produced before a court which remanded him to judicial custody for 15 days.
Ketamine is a veterinary anaesthetic which can cause hallucinations and is known to be used as recreational drug.
